As we have made our formal entry into the Nigerian market, we are not unmindful that there are already several titles within and outside Nigeria struggling for a sizeable share of that market. Ordinarily, it would appear as if the Nigerian market is already congested. But this is not the case. Recent audience research findings have shown that Nigerian readers expect so much from the media. In fact, they depend on both the print and electronic media for the information they need on the various aspects of their lives. Like air which human beings need for survival, man also needs information every second to make to make informed decisions on various aspects of life.

Unfortunately, the gap between reader’s expectations and the capacity of existing media to deliver continues to widen everyday. Scroll Nigeria will help to narrow the gap between readers’ expectation and the capacity of existing media to meet that expectation. The magazine will try as much to load every weekly edition with information which covers as many aspects of human life as possible. In doing, that we promise to keep to the time-tenets of journalism is our watch-word.

We sincerely believe that like a coin, every story has two sides. Therefore, we will always endeavors to make sure that we reflect the views of all sides.

Even when we report a story in which one side refuses to speak up initially, our editorial policy makes room for right of reply. As an independent medium, our loyalty is for Nigeria and not for any government in power. We will always look at every issue in terms of national interest.
